Somewhere beautiful plantconstellations

severedcas one of my favourite things to do is learn about how the constellations came to be because it’s basically all these different cultures playing dot to dots with the same millions of stars but creating all these different myths with them

I am just rEALLY passionate about space and i cannot get over it like i dont know much rn but i will still rant about the beauty of nebulae and the constellations even if i cant yet explain to you why planetary nebulae arent usually near planets off the top of my head smh

Greg Lestrade is a world-renowned and highly respected entomologist who prefers a quiet life at his microscope than rambling through the wilds to enjoy the beauty of the bugs and butterflies as nature intended.  One day, a new neighbor moves in, Mycroft Holmes, a reputable scientist in his own right, and proceeds to make himself quite the fixture around Lestrade’s home, hoping to get his new friend out to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.  Of course, it could be that Mr. Holmes, has other intentions than friendship on his mind, but that can be his little secret for now… as well as his technique for enticing the most intriguing specimens into Lestrade’s study to bolster the temptation…

eventhorizon451:

Greg Lestrade is a City boy suffering an intense case of burn out that threatens both his job and his mental health.  On orders from his boss, he takes time off to relax and, returning to the small village where he grew up for a taste of the well-remembered peace and quiet, he meets the new vicar, Mycroft Holmes who has a room to rent in his home.  Finding more than peace and quiet in his new situation, Greg has a hard decision to make when his boss calls and offers him a highly-lucrative and long worked-for promotion.  What to do when life hands you the two things you’ve always wanted – wealth and love… but you can only choose one…

eventhorizon451:

Mycroft Holmes’s media empire is the envy of the news and entertainment industries and gaining a spotlight segment on one of its television programs is the dream of every entertainer, politician and businessperson as the doors it opens for their careers are many and wide.  One person, however, has always refused to be featured – the prominent and talented architect and property developer, Greg Lestrade.  This time, after another refusal, Mycroft Holmes decides he won’t take no for an answer and informs Mr. Lestrade that he will run a segment with or without Lestrade’s cooperation and, further, he plans to host the special himself.  Knowing Mycroft means what he says and not wanting any of his projects to suffer because of interference from television crews running amok, Lestrade agrees on the condition that his work isn’t interrupted and the segment focuses on what he does and the contributions he tries to make to the communities in which he works.

All of that is fine with Mycroft since the point of the exercise is simply to get closer to the handsome architect, who he has admired and pined for since they first met at a party over a decade ago.  He now has one true chance to show Lestrade that he’s not the icy media manipulator his reputation paints and, further, he finds the architect the most breathtaking man he’s ever seen.  Can a decade of longing-from-afar finally be rewarded or will the deceit needed to gain this chance dash any hopes for something real and meaningful with the man who stole his heart and never gave it back…

Generally Mycroft Holmes doesn’t do things impulsively or under the influence of alcohol, but when he occasionally does it ends up being something ridiculous like buying his favourite small football team, because they’re so obviously badly managed he just can’t watch them lose any more.

Perhaps if he did get to think about he would realize he is not prepared for his hobby growing quite so dramatically.

But even then he wouldn’t know how much he is not prepared for the team’s coach, Greg Lestrade.
